Socal Devo Bootcamp 2019

I'm looking forward to my 2019 year of racing as a new member of the Socal Devo team, and what better way to start it off than at a team bootcamp with lots of fun riding and team bonding. I was especially excited to get to know my new teammates better and discuss our plan for the upcoming racing season. After we got settled in and ate dinner, the first night started off with a team meeting. We were all stoked to receive lots of awesome goodies from our sponsors, including a Scicon Race Rain bag, the new windmax helmet from Rudy project, Kenda tires, and a special pair of pink trailyx glasses, along with pink ESI grips for the girls. After having a serious talk about race plans, nutrition, and sponsors, we got the whole team together and played a few competitive games of Spoons, BS, and Uno.

We began the second day bright and early with long sprints up the Dam Climb at Vail lake and some skills training. Next, we ate lunch in the pouring rain and then loaded all 12 of us and our bikes back into the truck to go back to the house and do some power testing on the trainers. Later, we rewatched the Redbull Rampage and all watched an epic Supercross race together.

On the third and final day, Coach Brian dragged us all out of bed to do a few TTs up the dreaded Los Gatos hill with over a 26% grade! To end off our amazing weekend, we drove to a few local trails and rode some epic single track. I'm looking forward to an unforgettable year with great people!
